Chris has been dedicated to ministry since 1995, beginning his career as a youth director and later serving as Lead Pastor at three churches, including Central Clyde UMC, Assurance UMC, and now Long’s Chapel. Passionate about connecting people to God, Chris emphasizes the power of scripture in inspiring lives and feels privileged to fulfill God’s mission as a pastor. A native of Gastonia, North Carolina, Chris graduated from Ashbrook High School and earned his degree in sociology and religious studies from UNC Charlotte. He received his Master of Divinity from Duke University in 1998 and was ordained in the United Methodist Church in 2000. Chris and his wife Kristin married in 1995 and have three children: Drew, Abby, and Cameron.
