Andrew earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs and Foreign Languages from Gordon College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Minnesota Law School. He served four years on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps and held various roles in the Marine Corps reserve, achieving the rank of lieutenant colonel. Beckwith’s civilian career includes representing the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in immigration law and volunteering with Alliance Defending Freedom on religious liberty cases. From 2014 to June 2022, he was president of the Massachusetts Family Institute, affiliated with Focus on the Family and the Family Research Council. In July 2023, he became Executive Vice President and Chief of Staff at Southern Wesleyan University in Anderson, SC. He and his wife Karen have four children: Jacob, Gabriel, Abigail, and Anna.
